Award in Essentials of Marketing & Sales

The Award in Essentials of Marketing & Sales is an EQF/MQF Level 5 course accredited with 8 ECTS credits. The course will provide tools and necessary  knowledge and the skill in applying marketing and sales practices which would help grow a business. It is based on current best practices, which we ourselves apply in the consultancy roles in applying management practices in different organisations. Particularly, the course deals with the core concepts of marketing, market research, branding, digital marketing and social media and the sales concepts. The course is delivered fully online over a period of 6 weeks.

  • Session 2 – Fundamental concepts: Perspectives – CDO – B2C, B2B, B2G
  • Session 3 – Fundamental concepts: Perspectives – Retail, Wholesale, Manufacturing, Service

  • Session 5 – Managing the Marketing Process: Designing Marketing Research
  • Session 6 – Managing the Marketing Process: Implementing effective market research
  • Session 7 – The Marketing Mix and Marketing Plan
  • Session 8 – B2C – marketing challenges, branding and consumer behaviour
  • Session 9 – B2B – marketing challenges, relationship marketing and corporate buying behaviour
  • Session 10 – Digital Marketing and social media
  • Session 11 – Personal Selling, the art of persuasion, interpersonal communications
  • Session 12 – Personal Selling, the sales cycle, generation of leads, prospects, customers, clients

Assessment Methods:

Assessment Methods:
  • Assignment / Case-Study – 1 (Contributes towards 50% of the module)
  • Forum Discussions – 2 (Contributes towards 30% of the module)
  • Tutorial Participation – 2 tutorial sessions (Contributes towards 20% of the module)

50% Marks in aggregate from the course works is required for getting pass in the module.
