Psychology of Patients, Families and Health Care Professionals

The module will examine and provide students with an understanding of the psychology of patients and their carers (formal and informal). The modules aim to support students in distinguishing the defence mechanisms that develop and why these occur, and in handling intra-family conflicts during illness as well as to learn about the problems of the patient and their family during the diagnostic period of an illness, the period of diagnosis of a disease, the period of inpatient hospitalisation, the period of recovery and care of the patient at home. In addition, it aims to present theories concerning health and wellness, theories of disease management and theoretical frameworks for understanding and conceptualising emotions and problems of patients and family members when a spouse, parent or child is ill.

Course Overview:

This stage introduces the essential concepts and tools of eCommerce, providing a strong base for understanding the digital marketplace. You’ll explore topics such as online business models, digital marketing strategies, website management, and customer engagement. Through 4 core and 2 elective modules (6 ECTS), you’ll gain the skills to build and manage a successful online business presence.

In the second stage, you’ll deepen your knowledge with advanced modules that focus on innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable growth in eCommerce. You’ll learn about data-driven decision-making, eCommerce analytics, online branding, and customer experience design. Industry experts and leaders will share real-world insights to help you connect theory with practical business applications (8 ECTS).

The final stage emphasizes hands-on learning and application. You’ll work on individual and group assignments designed to simulate real-world eCommerce challenges. Each module includes interviews, case studies, and interactive discussions to help you apply theoretical concepts to practical business solutions. By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence and competence to plan, implement, and manage eCommerce strategies effectively.
